About Me
I've been sober 3 1/2 years. I am an Literature teacher and I like to meander in writing with my thoughts. I will go on longer than I would expect anyone to have to read, but the writing was the most helpful part of my recovery. I helps me slow down my crazy thinking and make it concrete.
I live in the mountains of Colorado where I grew up and I've just recently worked up enough courage to travel. I took my daughter to London and Paris last year and just got back from Spain over the New Year. Next summer I am taking her to Greece and Rome. I could have never done this before recovering from booze, and could never have overcome my anxiety to travel without the emotional sobriety that I've gained from AA.
I feel pretty alone except for meetings, so this site might help me in feeling like someone who gets it is always near.
Thanks for what you do, and for what we are able to do for each other.
