My name is Felicia, I am 36 years old and a mother of 3 girls. I have been in recovery since 2018 but had a slip in November of 2019. I got clean again October 20th, 2020 and have been sober since. My DOC was heroin and cocaine. I lost everything including my children because of my disease. I then lost my lover Kevin to an overdose while I was in prison. I was in prison for almost 3 years and have been out since July 1st, 2023. It has been 8 months or so since I left prison and things have been going really well. I am able to talk to my oldest daughter and I am able to take my youngest every weekend for the weekend. I got a job in recovery helping other addicts and eventually moved out of sober living and now have my own place. Everything is going really well and I attend meetings frequently still. I ended up meeting the love of my life about a month ago and after two weeks of us knowing each other, he proposed to me and i said undeniably yes! I am looking forward to my new life with the love of my life, and actually being able to enjoy life together as a family- instead of being alone, isolating from the world and barely existing as before! God is also a big part of my life and I am eternally grateful for all God has done for me. I pray all the time to my higher power and stay grateful and humble. I practice always doing the next right thing, and spreading love to all. That's all I have to share for now! God bless!
